Biography

Kory Montgomery and Que Review was
formed from the common love of
music.  For the past year Que
Review has combined elements of
Funk, Blues, Soul, and Rock into a
high-energy performance that has,
and continues to open eyes and ears
throughout the country. The band's
goal is to play feel good music
that pulls an audience out of their
chairs and to the dance floor.
Taxi A&R representatives say, "The
style moves from rock to jazz,
urban to avant garde. The mix of
funk rhythms, crisp parts, rock
steady rhythms and soulful vocals
is immediately mesmerizing and
captivating."  Kory Montgomery
(singer/guitarist), native
Arkansan, grew up around the
Mississippi delta blues area.  He
has shared the stage with Earth
Wind and Fire, Lee Ritenour, and
Buddy Guy. Also, Kory has opened
shows for Kenny Wayne Shepard and
multiple occasions for BB King. He
recently graduated Musicians
Institute in Los Angeles and
attended Grammy Camp where he was
mentored by Steve Vai, Lee
Ritenour, Earth Wind and Fire, and
at Musicians Institute with Que
review, a band of troubadours that
came together in 2007 from a
universal interest in soulful
heart-felt music. Mike Officer,
from the heartland of Iowa, has
spent many years mastering his
craft and making his way all over
California singing and playing
well-developed tunes that feature
his incredible vocals. The
combination of his voice with
Kory's make for a sound that is all
their own.  Jason Thomason, hailing
from New Mexico is a seasoned
guitarist who spent his teenage
years traveling and playing clubs
across the southwest. Jason played
with the likes of Smokin' Joe
Kubek, Indigenous, David Allan Coe,
Bachman Turner Overdrive, and
Ronnie Milsap. He in conjunction
with Kory lay down some powerful
guitar parts that really contribute
to the massive sound of Que Review.
Max Kutzman, an experienced bassist
from northern Montana, lays down
fat bass lines while Andrew Hynes,
from the south side of Chicago,
keeps the beat to this bad company.
Together, they have taken the music
to a soulful place and continue to
explore new musical avenues.

" I first heard Kory Montgomery at
the 2nd annual Ozark Blues Festival
in Fayettville, Arkansas. Kory is 18
years old and to say he is great is
an understatement, to say he will be
in a short time, one of the music
industry's future superstars is more
like it. I have had Kory
Montgomery's CD for only a couple of
weeks and already have had many
requests for his music. To put it
simply, Kory Montgomery sounds like
Kory Montgomery, not someone else. I
like his style and so will you."

Sunshine Sonny Payne
King Biscuit Time Host

"Kory plays with style and maturity
well beyond his years. He has shown
he knows how to present songs
without overpowering the rhythm
section, while other young guns may
be attracted to max volume and
overdriven soloing."

Kate Wallis
President, Ozark Blues Society
