Sean Harrison Communications/Public Relations Wireless: 479.236.3166 Email: seanh59@sbcglobal.net About Sean Harrison A former newspaper reporter and magazine writer, Sean’s no-nonsense style of communications and positioning has made him a favorite among agency clients around Arkansas, as well as with regional and national clients. He has worked as a professional communicator for 17 years, the last 11 specifically in the public relations field. Sean earned a BA in journalism from the University of Arkansas. After six years in the newspaper business he re-geared his writing and editing skills to the public relations business. While working in Arkansas’ top advertising firms as a public relations specialist, he developed his knowledge of business communications, marketing, positioning and client services. He began working as an independent consultant in late 2002. The journalist turned strategist Sean was a reporter and bureau chief for the Arkansas Gazette in the 1980s and early 1990s. After the Gazette closed in 1991, he became the first Arkansas Capitol bureau chief for the Donrey Media Group (now Stephens Media). He later served as special correspondent for The Dallas Morning News and collaborated in a special report for the Philadelphia Inquire. He began his public relations career with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, serving as editor of the university’s award- winning external magazine, UAMS Journal. From there, he took his communications skills to the world of agency work. He was a PR team leader at Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, then vice president of the FORZA Marketing Group, both in Little Rock. He was director of marketing for Northwest Health System based in Springdale, Ark., before starting his own practice. He has won industry awards for his feature writing, editing and public relations program planning and directing. |
