Lee, Springfield Regional Opera, Little Theater, Ozark
Festival Orchestra, MO., Southern orchestral events,
Southwest Baptist University productions, Drury College
productions, Missouri State University productions, and
Branson recording artists.
Joyful Sounds provides live music for Ozark weddings at
wedding chapels, bed and breakfasts, or private homes.
They also provide music at outdoor or indoor weddings and
receptions, church weddings, church events, private dinner
parties, anniversary celebrations, corporate events,
business parties, holiday events such as Christmas or
Valentine’s Day parties, grand openings, open houses, and
gala fund-raisers.
These professional musicians have performed extensively in
Springfield, Bolivar, Lake of the Ozarks, Branson, MO.,
and also Eureka Springs and Harrison, Arkansas.
Carol Harrison, manager for Joyful Sounds, is a retired
public school educator, who sees this endeavor as an
opportunity to continue her passion for music and continue
working with people. She is a violinist who continues to
teach in several local communities in addition to
performing extensively. She is only “semi-retired” as she
still teaches violin-viola and coaches a student quartet
at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO. She also
teaches private students in Bolivar, Eldorado Springs, and
Springfield.
She is an active professional musician 25 years in
Southwest Mo. and Arkansas. At present, Carol is associate
concertmaster, Ft. Smith, AR, Symphony, 1st violinist with
Springfield, MO Symphony and NW Arkansas Symphony in
Fayetteville; faculty recitals, Southwest Baptist
University, Bolivar. She is manager and 1st violinist with
Joyful Sounds and is a free-lance musician with various
church orchestras.
She especially enjoys creating that personal touch by
adding the live music that is needed for your special
event. Working with each event planner or bride by giving
consultation at no extra expense to you is something that
she loves to do.
